November 6th Law enforcement Appreciation Ceremony followed by refreshments, Emmet Belknap Middle School, 491 High Street 

Flag raising ceremony, school band playing, pledge, recognition of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

November 8th Community Reading Partners Day at Starpoint Central School, featuring Law Enforcement Officers as Reading Partners from 5-8 pm.

Law Enforcement Leadership Panel - 10:37-11:17 featuring: Undersheriff Filicetti, Captain Eric Laughton and Lockport Police Chief Mike Niethe


Women in Law Enforcement Panel - 11:21-12:01 featuring Niagara County Investigator Amanda Irons moderating panel with panelists: LPD Detective Heather Glenn, Niagara County Investigator Tracy Steen, New York State Police Investigator Becky Gibbons, LPD Patrol Officer Laura Schuyler and Niagara County Corrections Officer Erin Hotaling 


Special Operations featuring K-9 teams and Traffic Safety Educator- 12:05-12:45 (This will include demonstrations and activities along with small presentation on distracted driving)


2:30 New York State Police Sgt. James Jackson working with LHS Robotics team



North Park: 

Live Entry Way - uniformed police officers, firemen, and military veterans line the main hallways upon student arrival - in conjunction with the wear blue for ‘Lockport Blue’ community hero’s day. 

Present will be Lockport Police, Niagara County Sheriff’s department, and NYS Troopers, local service men and women, and local veterans. 

Jazz band will be playing music. 

Flag folding ceremony from the air base will take place.

DeSales:  Women in Law Enforcement Day  Panel discussion 9:00-9:45 am. 


Roy B. Kelley 10:30 am  Students premiere video that they produced on law enforcement followed by refreshments for law enforcement and students.

November 17th Pizza with the Police at DeSalesl beginning approximately 11:00 am.  Pizzas donated by Village Eatery.

November 22nd, Coffee with a Cop, Tops Friendly Markets on Transit Road in Lockport [inside cafe], 9-11 a.m.


November 22nd  Blue Mass at DeSales

9:40am in the Gym. 6914 Chestnut Ride Road Lockport


9:25-10:05  Starpoint's Regan Elementary School Salute to all three law enforcement departments. The students will be presenting each department with a token of their appreciation

Presentation of Proclamation of NYS Assembly with Mike Norris.


Presentation of books "I Love a Cop" funded by Niagara County Legislature


Both at Niagara County Courthouse at 9am

Anna Merritt 

10am  The kids at Anna Merritt have been collecting  Pennies for Police Officers - to purchase hand and feet warmers to present to Lockport City Policy Officers.  Using super hero theme students will dress up and present officers with hand and feet warmers.
